Gentle  Calm  Tranquil  Peaceful  Quiet  Composed  Still

These are the words that we feel should be associated with death and dying. Our ethos is to bring as much of these qualities into end of life care as is humanly possible.

We are a socially-minded partnership working with communities and the workforce to lift the taboo around death, dying and bereavement and to raise awareness of the importance of end of life care planning. We do this by encouraging and supporting people to talk openly about death and dying, to put their end of life care plans in place and to begin honest and open discussions with their families, close friends, carers and all those who might be asked about their end of life wishes.

We deliver our own unique training programmes, events and workshops to staff, volunteers and the public helping them overcome barriers to talking about the end of life and increasing their knowledge of end of life planning (including advance care planning).

Take a look at a recent interview with Gentle Dusk's Mireille Hayden on the BBC's GMT program:

We offer 3 key services and can tailor a package of training and support to suit the needs of your organisation:

     1. Workforce training: empowering the workforce to talk about death and planning for the end of life.
     2. Future Matters: empowering communities to talk about death and to plan for the end of life.
     3. Workshops: empowering the public by raising awareness of the importance of planning for the end of life.

We also offer consultancy and project management support on any issues relating to end of life care planning.

Based in London and Hertfordshire and working across the UK, we work with organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
