Gentle Calm Tranquil Peaceful Quiet Composed Stillness

These are the words that we feel should be associated with death and dying. Our ethos is to bring as much of these qualities into End of Life Care as is humanly possible.

We support people to prepare for end of life care through improved discussions and better planning. We focus on improving all aspects of the lives of those touched by death, dying and bereavement.

We encourage and support individuals to talk openly about death and dying, to plan for their wishes at the end of life and begin honest and sincere discussions with their families, close friends, carers and all those who might be asked about their wishes.

We achieve this by supporting organisations in health and social care, and the voluntary and private sectors, to improve the skills of their staff. This then enables them to better support patients, families and carers as well as improve the quality of their end of life care services. We provide a range of training programmes including Future Matters a programme to engage and empower communities to raise awareness of death and dying and support individuals to complete their end of life care plans (including advance care planning).

We also offer consultancy and project management support on any issues relating to end of life care.

Based in London and Hertfordshire and working across the UK, we work with clients across the public, private and voluntary sectors. To find out more send us an email info@gentledusk.org.uk ...or just read on.
